To understand me, you need to be OK with a girl who sounds more like a New Yawker than a Bostonite. And yet, I may not follow sports much but I will defend the Boston Red Sox to the death. My dad was born there. Boston Irish, all the way. You should also know I laugh. A lot. I love a good sense of humor and will always greet anyone I meet with a smile. It's just who I am. I sound tough sometimes and even hold a black belt in Shaolin Kempo Karate but this country girl also enjoys art museums and all kinds of music, although my 80s upbringing will forever endear me to classic rock-n-roll. I still love to rock out at a concert but can transition to getting dressed up to see an orchestra perform just as easily. Don't worry; if that's not your bag, I have plenty of girlfriends I can rely on for cultural entertainment. I adore movies, esp. supernatural horror and good action/martial arts films. If you want a girl on your lap in a scary movie, pick a movie with ghosts/hauntings. Nature and I are best friends; my place in this world is rescuing animals (I have 5 pets) and doing my level best to keep my part of the earth green. Moving to the Quiet Corner was the best thing for me as I can re-center and ground myself at one of a dozen sanctuaries, state parks and preserves within a 1/2 hour drive. The dog and I have great conversations on these hikes (yes, I do answer her). I am passionate about a lot of things in this world and am not afraid to speak my mind. However, I will respect your opinions if you grant me the same consideration. In fact, I love a good debate. It stirs the blood in a good way. I have traveled the US and some of Canada and desire nothing more than to see the rest of this world. I prefer seeing the local sites rather than the local beach, although walks on the beach are never frowned upon. But show me some amazing architecture or archaeological sites and I am THERE.
